Wow- last night I had Steve do my measurements and take my photo- which I have a huge zit in. Yikes! I can't believe that I am not more embarrassed. I am also angry that I have figured out how to hide so much. Here goes:

Chest: 35"
Waist: 31.25"
Hips: 42"
Right Thigh: 22.5"

Two years til 40
According to my BMI, I am not considered overweight but I am only .5% away. That is too close for comfort for me. I have worked out on and off for years but have yet to really focus. Typically, I am not one of those people who can focus on my diet and workout for a vacation, wedding, reunions, etc and lose weight to look great on that special event.
My husband and I did a workout contest back in 2007, which is probably the most motivated I have ever been but still I didn't give it my all. Now I am only two years away from 40 and I don't want to head into that decade with unhealthy habits and a lack of motivation. I want to be fit!!! I can honestly say that I have muscle but my diet is keeping me from showing that muscle off. I love to eat!
The part of my body that I hate the most are my legs and typically I don't like to show them off, or have pictures around as evidence.
I am going to begin really focusing my energy on lifting weights, doing cardio and watching what I eat. I know that there are going to be set backs but I can do this!!
My hope is that this blog will help me track my diet and exercise to keep me motivated. I also want to track my successes and failures- you can't move forward without knowing where you have been.
